Tae-yeon
Taeyeon was born in Jeonju, South Korea on March 9, 1989. She is trained in singing and dancing. She was discovered in 2004 in SM Entertainment's Best Female Singer contest, where she won first place. In 2007, she became the leader of Girls' Generation. She is a 2008 graduate of Jeonju High School of the Arts.
She started her singing career after she debuted with the Girls' Generation band in 2007. Taeyeon is considered the main voice of Korea, the best female voice in South Korea, and the eighth best voice in the world due to her unique voice material and high notes. Then SM Town released the sub-group of Girls' Generation, known as "Taitisyo", with the album "Twinkle", and Taeyeon is one of the girls of this band consisting of three members alongside her "Tiffany" and the maknae "Sohyun". The album was released on iTunes on the 29th of April 2012. The MV was released on the 30th of April.
Tae-yeon contributed to singing a song as a solo singer, “Manyageh” for KBS2’s drama: Hong Gil Dong. She made her solo debut by releasing her first solo album, I, as well as the video clip for her title track, “I,” in collaboration with singer Verbal Jint. The video clip was filmed in New Zealand. The song's lyrics talk about appreciating the world we live in and finding our place in it. On June 28, 2016, Taeyeon released her second mini-album, titled Why. After releasing several mini-albums and singles, Taeyeon decided to release her first full-length studio album, entitled “My Voice,” on February 28, 2017. The album includes 13 songs, along with a video clip for her title song, “Fine.” On December 12, 2017, Taeyeon released her third mini album, "This Christmas: Winter Is Coming." The album peaked at number two on the Gaon Music Chart, and the album's single "This Christmas" topped at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart. Taeyeon held her own concert titled "The Magic of Christmas" for three days to promote the album.
On May 7, 2010, she made her television acting debut in (Midnight Sun) as the heroine, which is based on the Japanese novel (Taiyō no uta) by (Aya Denkawa). The role or the novel centered around the 17-year-old girl, Kaoru Amani, who suffers from a disease (xeroderma pigmentosum), which prevents her from going out during the day. She kept her hopes or talents by writing songs and singing every night at a train station. Tae Yeon appreciated her role by publishing her performances in newspapers. Moreover, Kaoru (Tae-yeon) learned to play the guitar for her music show.
Tae Yeon and her bandmate Sohyun dubbed voices for characters in the D3 animation entitled (Despicable Me), where Tae Yeon played the role of (Margo), while Sohyun played the role of Margo's younger sister (Edith).
