commented on the news of the departure of player Joao Cancelo and his colleague Kyle Walker from the team, during the current summer transfer market.
The name of the Portuguese full-back Cancelo (29 years) was linked to the transfer to the Spanish club Barcelona, and England defender Walker (33 years) to the German club Bayern Munich.
The Spanish coach explained that he had not made any decisions yet about their future, according to the official website of the English club.
Guardiola spoke at a press conference, after preparing the team for the next season 2023/2024, saying: “I think many things will happen, I cannot answer because I do not know, I want the best for my players and of course the club is part of me as well.”
He continued, "I spoke with Kyle (Walker), everything is fine and we'll see what happens, I can't tell you anything because he's still thinking about it."
Guardiola added: “Joao (Cancelo) is here, and he was very important to us last season. After the loan at Bayern, he returned here and is part of the group, and as I said, we will see what happens.”
